Congratulations to the Wilpshire Wanderers Under 9 Blue squad on winning the cup final against Huncoat United. The final was held at Padiham FC on the 16th May and was a close, competative game. Wilpshire won the tie with a goal in each half but endured some sustained pressure from Huncoat early in the second half with the score at 1–0. Wilpshire survived this period of play thanks to good defending and some incredible goalkeeping, and went on to seal victroy with a second goal later in the half. |
